Research

The main emphasis at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry is put on the subject of Bioinorganic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Bioanalytics and Cell Biology, mostly under the aspect of the development of novel tumor therapeutics. Responsible for this field are Bernhard Keppler, together with  Vladimir Arion, Markus Galanski, Peter Unfried, Christian Hartinger and Michael Jakupec

The group has successfully been contributing to this field for several years. There are two new therapeutics under clinical research which have been developed in this group.

Another part of the institute is dealing with Environmental- and Radiochemistry. Responsible are Bernhard Keppler, together with Regina Krachler, Gabriele Wallner and Franz Jirsa.
