- Lukas Filak erhielt den Würdigungspreis 2009 des Bundesministeriums für Wissenschaft und Forschung.
- Michael Reithofer erhielt vom Bundesminsterium für Wissenschaft und Forschung den Award of Excellence 2008 für herausragende Dissertationen an österreichischen Universitäten verliehen.
- Michael Grössl received an Erwin Schrödinger Fellowship for his research on "interaction of metal-based drugs on cancer cells" and will work with Professor Paul Dyson at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne.
