Lipophilicity is a crucial parameter in drug discovery research because it significantly affects the diffusion of drugs through cell membranes, and thus their cellular accumulation. The publication presents a simple chromatographic method to determine the lipophilicity of cytotoxic platinum(IV) complexes, which can easily be expanded also to other metal-based compounds.
