New interdisciplinary Research Group for the investigation of tumor microenvironment

Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry and the Institute of Cancer Research recieve an 1,5 Mio. FWF grant to study the role of the tumor microenvironment for the activity of platinum-based anticancer drugs.

The consortium consists of Gunda Köllensperger and Evelyn Rampler from the Institute of Analytical Chemistry and Christian Kowol from the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, all from the University of Vienna, as well as Petra Heffeter (Project leader) and Walter Berger from the Institute of Cancer Research of the Medical University of Vienna.
