Julia Helena Bormio Nunes got her PhD at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, Brazil) and has been awarded an ESPRIT grant from the FWF in March 2022, with Christian Kowol as the mentor, for a 3-year postdoctoral project entitled “Silver complexes to overcome resistance in ovarian cancer”, starting in June 2022. She is back working in the Kowol Group, where she was previously a visiting PhD student in 2018-2019. The project is in cooperation with Petra Heffeter from the Center of Cancer Research (Medical University of Vienna), where the biological studies will be done.
